By creating an account, accessing, or using the Style U platform at yourstyleu.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the platform.
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Your Style U LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in New York, USA.
Style U is a marketplace and intermediary that connects clients with independent beauty and lifestyle service providers. Your Style U LLC is not the provider of beauty or lifestyle services. Services are delivered by independent providers who are solely responsible for the services they render. Style U is not responsible for the quality, safety, timing, or legality of services provided by providers.
By using the platform, both clients and providers acknowledge this relationship. Providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Your Style U LLC.
Both clients and providers must create an account to access the booking features of Style U. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account and to keep your information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at support@yourstyleu.com.
Bookings on Style U require a deposit at the time of booking. The deposit is collected to secure the appointment and demonstrate a genuine commitment to attend. By completing a booking, the client authorizes Style U to collect the deposit amount via the payment method provided.
Client-facing booking prices are displayed in Jamaican Dollars (JMD). Stripe processes the card charge in United States dollars (USD), converted by Style U from the displayed JMD total using the platform's exchange-rate calculation at the time of booking. The USD amount may appear on your payment record or card statement, and your card issuer may apply its own exchange rate or international transaction fee. Provider earnings and payouts are recorded and paid in JMD. By booking, you authorize Style U to charge the USD equivalent of the JMD total displayed at checkout.
Unless the booking page states otherwise, the card payment covers the deposit and platform booking fee only. The remaining service balance shown during booking is paid directly to the provider at the appointment. Style U does not collect or process that remaining balance.
Style U charges a per-booking platform fee in addition to the provider's service deposit. This fee is collected at the time of booking and is disclosed before payment is confirmed.
Style U also takes a commission on each deposit, which is withheld from the provider's payout. The rate depends on the provider's plan: 15% on the free Starter plan and 2% on the paid Pro plan. Providers on Pro pay both this reduced commission and a recurring subscription fee; providers on Starter pay commission only and no subscription fee. All fees are disclosed prior to purchase. Subscriptions are addressed in Section 9.
Provider earnings become eligible after the applicable hold period and are included in a later payout cycle when the provider has complete payout details and meets the minimum payout threshold shown on the platform. Refunds, reversals, chargebacks, or other amounts owed may be deducted from current or future earnings. Payouts are sent in JMD through a third-party payout service using the details saved by the provider; processing times can vary by bank or payout provider.
The following rules govern cancellations and refunds. These rules are binding and are applied automatically by the platform.
By using Style U as a provider, you agree to:
Honor confirmed bookings. Once a booking is confirmed, you are obligated to perform the booked service at the agreed time, unless you cancel in accordance with these Terms.
Provide accurate service descriptions. Services listed on your profile must accurately reflect what you offer, including pricing and any prerequisites.
Maintain accurate availability. Your availability calendar must reflect your genuine availability. Booking time slots you cannot honor harms clients and may result in account restrictions.
Treat clients professionally. You agree to behave professionally toward clients at all times.
By using Style U as a client, you agree to:
Show up for confirmed appointments. Once you have confirmed a booking, you are expected to attend at the agreed time. Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions.
Provide accurate information. Information you provide when booking (including contact details and service preferences) must be accurate and complete.
Treat providers professionally. You agree to behave respectfully toward providers at all times.
Style U offers providers a free Starter plan and a paid Pro plan, which unlocks additional platform features. Provider Pro subscriptions are billed in United States dollars monthly in advance at the then-current rate (currently US$21.00 per month) and renew automatically until cancelled. Any Jamaican dollar figure shown for Pro anywhere on this site, currently ≈J$3,329, is an approximate conversion for reference only and is not the amount charged. The amount charged is the US dollar rate above.
No free trial. The Pro plan does not include a free trial. Billing begins when you subscribe.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your provider dashboard. When you cancel, your Pro plan remains active until the end of the current paid billing period; at the end of that period your account reverts to the free Starter plan.
Refunds. We do not provide partial or pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period. Subscription fees paid for the current period are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Payment processing. Pro subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe and Style U to charge the payment method selected at checkout for each recurring billing period until cancellation takes effect. Stripe's handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
What happens when you downgrade. Downgrading to Starter does not delete your account, booking page, or existing bookings. They remain available on the Starter plan. Commission on each deposit returns from the Pro rate of 2% to the Starter rate of 15%.
You agree not to use the Style U platform for any fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful purpose. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:
Creating fake accounts or impersonating another person; posting false, misleading, or defamatory information; circumventing the platform's payment or booking systems to conduct transactions off-platform in order to avoid fees; attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise exploit the platform's technical infrastructure; or engaging in any conduct that harms other users, providers, or the platform itself.
Disputes arising between clients and providers regarding the underlying beauty or lifestyle services are between those parties. Style U may, at its discretion, facilitate communication or dispute resolution, but is not obligated to do so and is not liable for the resolution or outcome of such disputes.
Where a dispute involves a refund question governed by Section 6, Style U's determination under the Cancellation and Refund Policy is final.
Your Style U LLC reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent or abusive activity, or otherwise harm the platform or its users. Termination decisions are at Style U's sole discretion. In cases of serious violations, we may act without prior notice.
Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Pending payouts and deposits will be handled in accordance with the applicable refund rules in Section 6.
The Style U platform is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Your Style U LLC does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Your Style U LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages arising from provider conduct, missed appointments, service quality disputes, or platform downtime.
In no event shall Style U's total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform exceed the total amount of fees you paid to Style U in the three months preceding the claim.
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York.
Your Style U LLC may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the platform after any changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
